On your first day, we will pick you up at the Milan, Malpensa airport.
We will meet you at the airport to gather your things for the ride home. Upon arrival (ETA 12;30-1:00 pm), you will be able to put down your things, unwind, rest after your long journey or take a walk into town, which is 200 meters from the villa. This free time allows you to get to know your temporary hometown. Bedonia offers great little shops, bars, cafes, restaurants, trattorias, a park and a couple of churches. The town itself, dating back to Roman times was once referred to as Bitunia. It was an estate of the Bishops of Piacenza in the 11th century, then was the home of the Malaspina family in the 12th century. It is paved with stone streets and the locals are warm and welcoming.
After you have had some time to get used to the jet lag, we will meet in the lounge or outside (weather permitting) for wine and cheese. We will enjoy a homemade dinner that is typical of the area. Normally, we sit and chat about the days and the tours to come. We get the chance to get to know you and you to know us. At the end of the evening, you can retire to your room or take a stroll into town to see what is going on in the evening hours. Sometimes we are lucky enough to have someone playing live music in one of the bars or on the street, just to help pass the time.
